Overview


The College of Engineering Karunagappally is a distinguished institution dedicated to technical education, establishing itself as a prominent center for engineering excellence. Since its establishment in 2000 under the aegis of IHRD, the college has significantly contributed to the technical education landscape of the state. It is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by both the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).


Strategically located in Karunagappally, Kollam district, Kerala, India the institution benefits from seamless accessibility to various modes of transport, communication, and accommodation facilities.


With a strong emphasis on fostering innovation, the college provides a wide spectrum of academic and extracurricular activities aimed at enhancing students' technical skills and creativity. In recognition of its outstanding educational performance, the institution received a grant of ₹10 Crore from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP II).

  • By Air: The nearest international airport is Trivandrum International Airport, approximately 85 km away.
  • By Rail: Karunagappally Railway Station is just 3 km from the college, with regular trains connecting to major cities.
  • By Road: The college is well-connected by road, with regular bus services from Kollam (27 km) and Kayamkulam (12 km).
